Every year we host “Friendmas” where our friends contribute different bits of a Christmas dinner and we all sit down to eat together, do Secret Santa, and play charades. It’s always one of my favourite days of the year! Luckily my pain subsided enough for us to still host this year (although I did change into my pyjamas and occasionally excuse myself to go and curl up on my own during pain spikes).
Here are our Friendmas outfits for this year - my tights were from BetterTights last year, my dress is “Vixen by Michelline Pitt”, my shoes are second hand Ruby Shoos. Josh’s jumper is from a little boutique in Norwich years ago, his trousers are vintage dickies, his shirt was bought the best part of a decade ago so he doesn’t know where it’s from, and his shoes are second hand Solovair from Vinted.
I hope you’re all enjoying whichever seasonal celebrations you choose to engage in! Remember to take the time you need to rest - this can be a stressful time of year. I’m lucky to have friends and family who understand when I take myself off to rest but, if you don’t, remember that lots of us do empathise and understand, even if from a long way away.
